Karen Cowley Lung Force

About Karen’s Kindness

Join us in our efforts to combat lung disease at this year’s Lung Force Walk in NYC. Our team aims to surpass our previous fundraising records by raising over $15,000. These funds will support life-saving early detection tests.

Since 2014, participants in the Lung Force Walk have collectively raised $30 million for lung cancer research. This support has led to a 52% increase in survival rates and the development of 50 new treatments.

Why We Walk

The LUNG FORCE Walk is deeply meaningful to my sister and me as we honor the memory of our beloved mother, Karen Molesphini Cowley, who passed away from interstitial lung disease in March 2022. This year, we’re expanding our dedication to include our late father, John Cowley, who passed away in January. Though he can’t physically walk with us, we feel his love and support beside us in spirit.

With the 2nd anniversary of our mother’s passing approaching, our mission remains steadfast: to raise awareness and funds for those affected by lung disease. Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve raised over $28,000 since our team’s inception in April 2022.

The Impact of Your Donation

Your participation and donations will significantly contribute to early detection efforts and enhance life-saving treatments, offering hope to everyone battling lung disease.

Since 2014, participants in the LUNG FORCE Walk have collectively raised over $30 million for lung cancer research, leading to a 52% increase in the lung cancer survival rate and the development of 50 new treatments since 2016.

Expanding Our Mission

As we enter our third year participating in the walk, we’re expanding our team’s dedication to include other loved ones lost to lung cancer, such as our grandfather, Albert J Molesphini, and dear friend, Diann Valentini.

Additionally, we now walk to honor our father, John Cowley, who sadly passed in January. Though he may not have ever been able to physically walk with our team, we will continue to feel his love and support beside us in spirit.
